Brief Biography
Gisela provides administrative support to the Implementation and Facilitation Unit and other teams when needed. She has extensive experience in administration, and before joining the IPPC Secretariat, she was an Office Assistant at FAO’s Investment Centre, supporting the work in Central Asia, Europe and Near East and North Africa regions. For over two decades before joining FAO, Gisela was an administrative assistant at an import company in Italy. She is a national of Spain with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Valencia. She spent one year studying at Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza with an Erasmus scholarship. She has been living in Italy since 1997. Gisela speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish, intermediate level Catalan and basic German.
