The FAO regional workshop on phytosanitary inspection and phytosanitary certification (GCP/RAS/226/JPN)

The regional workshop focuses on phytosanitary inspection and phytosanitary certification in order to boost the understanding of relevant ISPMs and to widen knowledge on relevant activities through exchanging information and opinion based on countries" experience.

The workshop programs consist of sessions such as:

Understanding and reviewing some ISPMs related to phytosanitary inspection and phytosanitary certification. Exchanging information and opinion for PQ inspection for seed, seedling and consumption and Post Entry Quarantine Exchanging information and opinion for Phtytosanitary treatment using export certification scheme for export fruits (irradiation, VHT, hot water treatment and cold treatment) Practical training for sampling methodology to assist understanding formulae and methodologies for sampling of consignments Exchanging information for common interested topics in this region such as E-certification, single windows for clearance of customs and PQ inspection, export inspection under accreditation scheme Participant countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Viet Nam, Japan and China
