Brief Biography
Tommaso coordinates the implementation of IPPC projects: from the identification of new project ideas and the development of fully-fledged project proposals (including negotiation of funding agreements with resource partners), to the implementation and monitoring of activities and resources. He also supports reporting to funders and evaluation of results. Tommaso is also in charge of resource mobilization, helping to ensure availability and appropriate funding resources to support implementation of the IPPC’s programmes. Prior to joining FAO, Tommaso supported a wide range of entities, including international organizations, universities, research centres, NGOs, companies, chambers of commerce, and associations, at global, regional and country level, helping them to raise funds to carry out their strategies. Tommaso has a master’s degree in development economics and a Post-graduate Master in European Studies. He speaks English, French and Italian and he is intermediate in Spanish.
