Update from the Standard Setting Unit of the IPPC Secretariat

Due to the outbreak of covid-19, we would like to inform you that as the Standards Committee (SC) May meeting is no longer taking place, the SC will be reviewing the draft ISPMs due to go for the first consultation through the Online Commenting System (OCS)).

This will work the same way as a country consultation, but only the SC members will have access to the draft ISPMs to comment and make changes before it is approved for first consultation.

The weekly reviews will be on the following draft ISPMs starting from 13 April 2020:

1. Focused revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates) in relation to re-export (2015-011)
2. Audit in the phytosanitary context (2015-014)
3. Draft 2020 amendments to ISPM 5 (Glossary of phytosanitary terms) (1994-001)

If RPPOs or CPs have any comments on the drafts, they should present them to the SC members from their region. The draft ISPMs are available here for review but please remember that you will need log in to view them.
