Reminder to update IPPC Official Contact Points details

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat reminds contracting parties that have not done so yet, to:

• confirm the details of their Official Contact Points (OCPs) by writing to [email protected] and copying [email protected], or
• if the OCP has changed, update the details by filling out the IPPC Official Contact Point notification form and sending it to the two contacts indicated above.

By providing up-to-date information regarding OCPs, contracting parties will comply with Article VIII.2 of the IPPC, requiring them to designate a contact point to support information exchange and coordination with the IPPC Secretariat as well as facilitate effective implementation of the Convention. The Secretariat will also be in a better position to support the phytosanitary and plant health needs of contracting parties.

As of today, 170 of 184 contracting parties have confirmed their OCP contact details. The remaining 14 contracting parties are encouraged to urgently submit this information too.
