IPPC Official Contact Points are invited to confirm their contact details to ensure effective implementation of the Convention

Posted on Thu, 09 Mar 2023, 14:59

Exchanging technical and official phytosanitary information through the International Phytosanitary Portal (IPP) is vital to the Convention’s effective implementation. To further improve coordination between the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat and contracting parties, the Secretariat invites IPPC official contact points (OCPs) to confirm their contact details in the IPP by responding to the Secretariat’s email sent on 2 March 2023.

The IPPC includes numerous provisions that guide contracting parties in their National Reporting Obligations (NROs) and to help them implement the Convention. Find out more about the advantages of keeping OCPs' contact details up-to-date by clicking here.

Updating the contact details in the IPP follows the decision of the IPPC Implementation and Capacity Development Committee in November 2022.

In the absence of response to the email until 31 March 2023, the IPPC Secretariat will contact countries individually. For inquiries, please send an email to [email protected], NRO focal point for the IPPC Secretariat.
