Now available: Updated and redesigned e-learning courses: Surveillance and Pest Status Determination and National Reporting Obligations

Posted on Fri, 05 Apr 2024, 08:25

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is pleased to announce the release of two updated and redesigned e-learning courses.

These courses are designed to address (i) the fundamental principles related to pest surveillance and determination of pest status, offering practical guidance to assist national plant protection organizations (NPPOs) in enhancing their national surveillance systems, and (ii) the national reporting obligations (NROs) system for documenting the occurrence, outbreak and spread of pests.

Certified with the digital badge system, these courses are accessible online, free of charge, as a global public resource:

This achievement is the culmination of extensive collaboration between the IPPC Secretariat and the e-learning Academy of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), financially supported by the European Union and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Secretariat.
