Now available: Translations of ISPMs adopted by CPM-17 in 2023

The Standards Setting Unit of the IPPC Secretariat is pleased to inform the plant health community that the four International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) adopted by the seventeenth session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) in March 2023 are now available in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish. These ISPMs can be found on the International Phytosanitary Portal (IPP): https://www.ippc.int/en/core-activities/standards-setting/ispms/

The four ISPMs are:

1. 2021 amendments to ISPM 5 (Glossary of phytosanitary terms) (1994-001);
2. Revision of ISPM 18 (Requirements for the use of irradiation as a phytosanitary measure) (2014-007);
3. Annex 2 (Use of specific import authorizations) (2008-006) to ISPM 20 (Guidelines for a phytosanitary import regulatory system); and
4. Phytosanitary Treatment 45 (Irradiation treatment for Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi) (2017-027) as Annex 45 to ISPM 28 (Phytosanitary treatments for regulated pests).
