New project webpage launched: EU Support to the IPPC Strategic Framework and Workplan

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce the launch of a project webpage for EU Support to the IPPC Strategic Framework and Workplan. This project is funded by the European Commission.

The project supports the implementation of the, IPPC Strategic Framework 2020-2030 Development Agenda Items (DAIs) and strengthening phytosanitary capacities at national and regional levels.

Key outputs include:

• strengthening pest outbreak alert and response systems (POARS) to improve early detection and response to emerging pest threats;
• developing International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) for specific commodities and pathways to support safe trade; and
• advancing implementation of the Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP).

The project reinforces the European Union’s continued support to implementation-focused work under the IPPC Strategic Framework.
