Join the FAO elearning Academy Global Youth Contest

Posted on Mon, 15 Jun 2026, 12:37

The IPPC Secretariat joins the FAO Office of Youth and Women and the FAO Partnerships and UN Collaboration Division to announce the FAO elearning Academy Global Youth Contest, an initiative that highlights how learning can translate into real-world impact, including through a dedicated Plant Health category under the IPPC Plant Health Campus.

Three selected winners aged 18-35 will be awarded a fully funded trip to Rome to attend the World Food Forum (12–15 October 2026). In addition, a fourth winner will be selected under the Plant Health courses category and will receive the same award.  The four selected winners will have the opportunity to present their experiences during the trip to Rome and to share their stories through a video interview, which will be featured on the websites and social media channels of the FAO elearning Academy and the IPPC.

When applying to the contest, participants should not only share the maximum number of badges but also clearly explain how their learning has translated into real-world impact. For the IPPC Plant Health Campus winner, submitted stories must explicitly highlight learning impact through the IPPC Plant Health Campus.

We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this opportunity with young professionals and students in your countries and networks, who could benefit from participating.

Applying is simple: consult the Participant’s Guide, follow the outlined steps, and submit applications by 31 July 2026 (23:59 CEST). View the Participant’s Guide here. Please note that applications must be submitted in English. When applying, participants need to make explicit reference to the IPPC Plant Health Campus.

Further details on the call and application process are available here.

Thank you for helping us amplify this opportunity and engage the next generation of changemakers. For any enquiries related to the contest, please contact [email protected].
