The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is pleased to inform the plant health community that the draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) to be presented for adoption at the 18th session of the Commission for Phytosanitary Measures (CPM-18) in 2024, have been posted and can be viewed here. The attachments are available here.

Contracting parties who wish to submit an objection should do so by 25 March 2024 (three weeks to the start of CPM-18). Please refer to the page on Current objections to the adoption of ISPMs for the procedures to be followed.

Objections must be accompanied by technical justification and suggestions for improvement of the draft ISPM, which are likely to be acceptable to other contracting parties (refer to sections 2 and 3.5 of the IPPC Procedure Manual on Standard Setting).
