IPPC Webinar on Fall Armyworm prevention

Fall armyworm (FAW) has recently become a global threat to plant health, food security and the livelihoods of smallholder families worldwide. Reducing its introduction and spread to new areas is one of the key objectives of the FAO Global Action for FAW Control.

The IPPC webinar on FAW prevention will take place tomorrow, 9 December 2020 from 9 to 11 am (CET) to present strategies and mechanisms put in place by FAO and the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) to limit further spread of FAW to Europe, Near East and North Africa, and the Pacific with the support of regional and national plant protection organizations.
