IPPC ePhyto Solution to be presented at Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Electronic Phytosanitary Certificates

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to inform the plant health community that it will take part in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Conference on Electronic Phytosanitary Certificates (ePhytos) and will present the IPPC ePhyto Solution.

The conference, hosted by the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine of the Republic of Uzbekistan and co-organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will take place from 11-13 September 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The CAREC conference on ePhyto adoption will facilitate dialogue among NPPOs on digitalizing phytosanitary certification, including through the IPPC ePhyto Solution. It will provide an opportunity to discuss capacity building, partnership, special initiatives, and potential investment projects to address barriers to seamless trade certification. Participants will include national plant protection organizations (NPPOs), officials from customs and other trade-related agencies, development partners and private sector representatives.
