The IPPC Secretariat is launching a NEW Phytosanitary System page to replace the former Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on the IPP. This “Phytosanitary System” page has been developed in cooperation with the Implementation and Capacity Development Committee (IC) and the essential components of a Phytosanitary System have been identified under several “Component” pages. Each Component page brings together all of the relevant technical resources to help NPPO staff understand and access information related to a subject. Relevant technical resources include: International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs), CPM Recommendations, IPPC Guides and training materials as well as contributed resources.
The first two Component pages on Eradication and Phytosanitary Export Certification have just been published. Please have a look at these webpages and give your feedback to the IPPC Secretariat ( [email protected] ) to help us improve them to better serve the needs of the phytosanitary community.
Additional component pages are coming soon for Pest Risk Analysis, Surveillance, NPPO Establishment and Operations and Systems Approach, others are under development and will be available soon.
In addition, the Implementation and Capacity Development landing page has been restructured to provide a fresh new layout, which we hope presents information on IPPC Implementation and Capacity Development activities in a more user friendly format.
