COAG 29 Side Event - Plant health: Why is it crucial for the success of One Health?
Thank you for participating in the Side Event! Due to the high volume of online participation and questions, we were unable to address all of them during the session. The IPPC Secretariat is currently preparing a Q&A document that will provide answers to your submitted questions. Stay tuned!
Friday 4 October 2024, 9:00-10:30 (CEST)
Recording is available: fao.zoom.us (Passcode:PLANT2024+)
The side event will discuss the integral role of plant health within the One Health framework. It will highlight the efforts of FAO, Members, the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), and the broader plant health community in reinforcing the connections between human, animal, plant and environmental health.
As the foundation of the food chain for both humans and animals, plants are essential. Threats to plant health pose significant risks to global health, well-being, food security and prosperity, particularly affecting the most vulnerable populations.
