Framework for Standards Task Force
Several Focus Groups have met over the years (2003, 2007 and 2011) to review and improve the IPPC Standard Setting Process. Reports from these meetings can be found here. The last Focus Group on this subject met in July 2011 in Paris and proposed a set of recommendations to the seventh session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM-7)- 2012. CPM-7 (2012) reviewed the recommendations and the proposed changes to the IPPC Standard Setting Process and agreed to a set of CPM decisions (Appendix 4 to the CPM-7 report) and a revised standard setting process (Appendix 5 to the CPM-7 report).
