Short Description

The Ministry of Agriculture of Zambia is now issuing documents used for trade facilitation through the Zambia Electronic Single Window (ZESW), This means that Phytosanitary Certificates issued by the Plant Quarantine and Phytosanitary Service (PQPS), the NPPO of Zambia, will be generated from the ZESW. The new electronic models continue to follow the provisions of International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM #12) of the IPPC and the Plant Pests and Diseases Act CAP 233 of the Laws of Zambia. The new PC is being issued with immediate effect and will run parallel to the old PC. The old PC will not be used beyond Friday, 30th of April 2021.

The NPPO of Zambia will appreciate that this important information is shared with your members of staff at entry points so as to avoid any possible interceptions.
