In Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), the functions of the National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO) are shared among the units of the Crop Protection Sub-Division, Research Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries. Members of the Sub- Division are responsible for key management decisions on plant health.
A Board of Management (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”) was established for the purposes of the Plant Protection Act. The Board shall manage the affairs of the Plant Quarantine Service, and do such other things as may be designated by the Minister or necessary or expedient in order to enable the Plant Quarantine Service to achieve its purpose.
