The Slovenian NPPO (Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector, and Plant Protection) would like to inform you about the full implementation of the IPPC ePhyto for issuing of phytosanitary certificates for export and phytosanitary certificates for re-export starting on January 1st, 2026.
This will enable the Slovenian NPPO to issue all phytosanitary certificates in TRACES via the IPPC ePhyto Hub. Specifically, countries connected to the ePhyto Hub will receive electronic e-phytosanitary certificates, whereas countries not connected to the ePhyto Hub will receive paper phytosanitary certificates created in TRACES and printed on watermarked paper, carrying the TRACES reference number, manual signature of the authorised officer and manual official stamp of the Slovenian NPPO.
However, during the transition period from July 1st until December 31st, 2025, the Slovenian phytosanitary certificates will be issued either as:
phytosanitary certificate for export and phytosanitary certificate for re-export issued in printed version, using a national specimen as in use from December 14th, 2020. Ordinary watermark paper-based certificates carrying pre-printed serial numbers will be in use. The certificates are physically signed and stamped by authorised officer.
phytosanitary certificate for export and phytosanitary certificate for re-export issued based on the specimen created in TRACES, printed out on watermarked paper and carrying the IMSOC reference number. The certificates are physically signed and stamped by authorised officer.
electronically based version: phytosanitary certificate for export and phytosanitary certificate for re-export created in TRACES carrying the IMSOC reference number and electronically signed with advanced electronic seal by authorised officer of Slovenian NPPO.
Attached you will find the specimens of phytosanitary certificates for export and re-export from TRACES and the printed Slovenian national specimens already in use. Please, keep in mind that the printed Slovenian national specimens will no longer be valid after January 1st, 2026.
