Lists of quarantine pests to Slovenia are defined by Annex I and II of Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community.
Regulated plants and plant products are listed in same Directive 2000/29/EC, namely those, which: - are banned at import to the EU in the Annex III, - have special requirements at import in the Annex IV.A.I - have to be declared at the first border control point of the EU for inspection and need a phytosanitary certificate of exporting country in Annex V.B.
The lists in Annexes I to V to Council Directive 2000/29/EC have been last amended on 21 March 2019 by Directive (EU) 2019/523. Those amendments will enter into force on 1 September 2019.
Additional quarantine measures have been implemented by EU emergency measures.
By 14 December 2019 the new plant health regime of the EU is entering into force, including the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 of 18 December 2018 establishing a provisional list of high risk plants, plant products or other objects, wich import is banned until a PRA is done for certain origin at the EU level.
