Summary

Singapore initiated a detection survey for Pantoea ananatis on ornamentals from Dec 2011 - Jan 2013 with a sample size of 373 to determine the status of this bacterium. A total of 373 samples, consisting of 234 different species of non-angiospermic (16), monocotyledonous (204) and dicotyledonous (153) plants, obtained from 43 sites around Singapore, were tested negative for the presence of Pantoea ananatis. Therefore the status of this bacterium is Absent: no pest records (confirmed by survey).
