On February 7, 2012 Mexico published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación, the "Agreement by which a Module of Phytosanitary Requirements is established for the import of commodities regulated by the Secretariat (Ministry) of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SecretarÃa de Agricultura, GanaderÃa, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación - SAGARPA)^^. With this, Mexico removes the obligation to obtain the list of phytosanitary requirements in person and instead establishes an online consulting Module for reviewing import requirements, in order to simplify the process of importing commodities subject to plant health considerations. SAGARPA, which acts primarily through the National Food Safety and Agri-Food Quality Service (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) will establish the Module in the domain: http://sistemas2.senasica.gob.mx/mcrfi/
