Short Description

Jamaica's NPPO is the Plant Quarantine/Produce inspection Branch of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries. The Branch is supported by the Research and Development Division (RDD)and the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA). The RDD provides research support and the RADA provides extension/surveillance support. The activities are coordinated by the Plant Health Coordinating Committee as entrenched in the country's Plant Health Policy.
