This is to inform you that following the new Regulation (EU/2016/2031) on protective measures against pest of plants, which came into force on the 14th of December 2019, the Hungarian phytosanitary certificate for export and re-export has been modified. The new models continue to follow the IPPC model and the provisions of ISPM12. The main difference between the current and new model is the addition of the logo of the European Union. Please note, that from January 1. 2021, only the new models of the phytosanitary certificates will be issued. Specimens of the new model of the phytosanitary certificate for export and of the phytosanitary certificate for re-export are attached in pdf format. Until December 31. 2020. both the new and the old models are in use and valid. We expect this information will be helpful in dealing with our phytosanitary certificates at import. We kindly ask you to send this information to your border inspection posts, in order to avoid confusion upon arrival of shipments coming from Hungary. In case additional information is required, please contact the IPPC contact point of Hungary.
