Summary

Black sigatoka is a serious quarantine pest which was identified in June of 2006 by Dr.Juliane Henderson of CRC for Tropical Plant Protection. The disease can negatively affect the entire country and other countries in the region where the pest is not present.

Danger
Grenada has just resumed shipping to Trinidad, the economic loses can be tremendous, in addition,it means that we will have to import banana from St.Vincent to support the domestic supply.
