Short Description

Description of the NPPO of the Commonwealth of DOMINICA (Article IV 4) The Plant Protection and Quarantine Services, Dominica^^s NPPO, has its main office and Laboratory at Botanical Gardens, Roseau. Two (2) Airports; Mevillehall Airport (major) and Canefield Airport and four Sea Ports. The Unit is headed by an Agricultural Officer I, who is the Plant Protection & Quarantine Officer and has a compliment of thirteen (13) staff which includes two (2) Agricultural Officer III/ Plant health Officers, one Laboratory Technician and one Data Entry Clerk/ Laboratory Assistance. At the Deep Water Harbor located at Fond Cole there are (2) two Plant Quarantine Inspectors and (2) two at the Longhouse port located at Portsmouth. Two Quarantine Officer Mevillehall Airport and two at Canefield Airport. Additionally there is one Officer stationed at the Roseau Ferry Terminal.
