Short Description

The Danish NPPO has started the implementation of the IPPC ePhyto solution. This means that we now will be able to issue some of our phytosanitary certificates as ePhytos for countries able to receive them via the IPPC ePhyto Hub. In addition, in those cases we will also hand out the same certificate as print out from TRACES-NT, until we are certain that the ePhytos are sent and received properly. So, in the cases where we are ready from now on to issue the certificates electronically via TRACES-NT, we will print the phytosanitary certificate from TRACES-NT in case of Danish export to countries still not connected to the Hub. As the Danish exporters are beginning to apply for certificates via TRACES-NT gradually, we will still issue ordinary paper certificates to some of them/for some product types as before for a period of time.

Thus, from November 2021 the Danish phytosanitary certificates will be issued in one of the following formats:

Non-electronic version as today: The ordinary water mark paper based certificates carrying pre-printed serial numbers
Electronically based version: Certificate created in TRACES NT, printed on water marked paper, carrying the TRACES-NT reference number.
Electronic certificate presented via the IPPC ePhyto Hub, along with a printed certificate from TRACES-NT as above.
