IPPC Contact Points,
Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) will change the way in which Phytosanitary Certificates (PCs) are delivered. As of November 30, 2020, our NPPO will stop issuing PCs on paper with security measures and the PCs will be issued in digital format, which they will consider security features in each PC such as:
-Advanced Electronic Signature of the State of Chile; -QR code that allows viewing, validation and authentication online; -Each PC will be electronically stamped with the Stamp of the Ministry of Agriculture from Chile. You will find more details in the letter.
Note that the SAG has determined a transition period until November 30, 2020, during which time the currently valid forms will be in circulation simultaneously with the new ones, for which the NPPO could receive valid PCs issued with fresh signature and with electronic signature.
Attached you will find a Letter from our National Director in Spanish and English, examples of digital PCs for export and re-export.
Additionally, as a complementary security measure, the Web page implemented as a result of Covid-19 will continue to operate, so each Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the Agricultural Service and Ganadero can be reviewed and validated through the following encrypted link: http://multipuerto.sag.gob.cl/visitante/busquedaFito.asp
