Following the new EU Regulation on protective measures against pest of plants (Regulation (EU) N° 2016/2031), which will come into force on the 14th of December 2019, the Belgian model of phytosanitary certificate for export and the phytosanitary certificate for re-export will be amended.
The new models continue to follow the IPPC model and the provisions of ISPM12. The main difference between the old and new model is the addition of the logo of the European Union.
Until the 14th of December 2019, the current or new phytosanitary certificate models will be used. As of the 14th of December 2019, only the new models of the phytosanitary certificates will be issued. Specimens of the new model of the phytosanitary certificate for export and of the phytosanitary certificate for re-export are attached in pdf format.
Due to the fact that the shipping time of consignments can be long, you might still receive old models after the 14th of December 2019. However these certificates should have been issued before the 14th of December 2019. We kindly ask you to verify the date of issuance on the documents upon arrival of the shipments.
We expect this information will be helpful in dealing with our phytosanitary certificates at import. May we kindly ask you to send this information to your border inspection posts, in order to avoid confusion upon arrival of shipments coming from Belgium.
