Weed Categorization Template

Template for screening plant species that may be of phytosanitary concern as weeds or invasive plant pests. Categorization is one of the preliminary stages in the Pest Risk Analysis (PRA) process and determines whether a full PRA should be conducted.
The purpose of this categorization documet is to support the determination whether Scientific name (common name) has the potential to satisfy the criteria in the definition for a quarantine pest . Thia method used by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to initiate and conduct this categorization is consistent with international guidelines (IPPC 2015).
