IC Meeting Open Session on ICD Projects (May 2023)

Thank you for participating in this session!

Tuesday, 16 May 2023, 14:00-16:30 (CEST)

The presentations are available below

Background:
During the May 2019 Implementation and Capacity Development Committee (IC) meeting, the IC discussed how to collect, consolidate, and share information on implementation and capacity development (ICD) projects and agreed to the “Strategy on how the IC reviews and analyses ICD projects”. This strategy includes a new and more analytical way of reviewing projects information from NPPOs, RPPOs, donors, and implementing organizations.

To implement this strategy and process, the IPPC Secretariat issues once a year a call to solicit information about ongoing phytosanitary projects at the national, regional, and global levels.

This session opened to all aims to promote global “best practice” principles, maximize research and development investment, promote project synergies, minimize duplication and facilitate networking opportunities amongst plant health professionals.

Target audience:

  • National Plant Protection Organizations (NPPOs)
  • Regional Plant Protection Organizations (RPPOs)
  • FAO regional and sub-regional offices
  • Implementing organizations
  • Donor agencies

Key topics that will be covered during this session:

  • Introduction to ICD projects managed by the IPPC Secretariat
  • Introduction to ICD projects submitted by other organizations
