Out now: InFARM report on early implementation (2023–2024)

Posted on lun, 13 Jul 2026, 10:57

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to share the publication of the International FAO Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring (InFARM) System: Report on Early Implementation of the InFARM system (2023–2024).

This report, first in a planned series, provides an overview of the establishment and initial rollout of InFARM, including country participation and the status of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance systems. It highlights early progress in generating and sharing AMR data through a harmonized global framework and identifies opportunities to further strengthen surveillance capacities across agrifood systems. The report also outlines future developments of the InFARM system, including its expansion to support the collection of antimicrobial use (AMU) data in plant production.

This report is particularly timely as the IPPC Secretariat is collaborating with FAO on the integration of plant health into the InFARM system.

Access the full report or read the accompanying brochure for an overview of the key findings.
