In January 2018, INSV was detected in lettuce crops at a farm in Elderslie, in the state of NSW. A decision was made not to attempt to eradicate the virus.
- Danger
- INSV causes necrotic spots on leaves, stems and flowers. Initial chlorotic spots rapidly become necrotic. Plants are susceptible at all growth stages, with infected younger plants more likely to die than those infected at a later growth stage.
