- Résumé
The detection of teak leaf rust on teak in the Northern Territory was confirmed on 23 June 2006. The disease was subsequently confirmed in Queensland and Western Australia. Plant Health Committee agreed on 4 September 2006 that teak leaf rust was not eradicable from Australia and no further action was required. The decision was based on evidence that the disease was found to be widespread and had extended its range to all available hosts.
- Danger
- Teak leaf rust is an exotic disease to Australia. The teak plantation industry considers the disease to be only of minor concern.
