Working Together: Clean Containers and Safe Trade - Symposium on Plant and Biodiversity Protection: Mitigating Risks of Pest Contamination in the International Containerized Supply Chain


The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat in collaboration with the Danish NPPO are supporting the Bureau International des Containers (BIC), the World Shipping Council (WSC) and Danish Shipping in the organization of the Symposium on Plant and Biodiversity Protection: Mitigating Risks of Pest Contamination in the International Containerized Supply Chain.

The symposium will be hosted at Danish Shipping, Copenhagen, Denmark from Tuesday 7 October to Wednesday 8 October 2025.

Attendance of the Symposium is free of charge. Seats are limited and confirmation of participation will be provided to participants following registration, closer to the date.

Who should attend - This event is targeted to ocean carriers, shippers, forwarders, and other containerized supply chain stakeholders, as well as plant protection regulators and biodiversity experts. It will appeal to C-level, senior level operations and logistics staff, sustainability officers, etc.
