In 2016, the Andean Technical Committee on Agricultural Health (COTASA) prioritized Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense tropical race 4 (TR4) as a pest of interest in the Andean region. As a response, the phytosanitary section of the General Secretariat of the Comunidad Andina initiated a website on its phytosanitary portal, dedicated to current and relevant information on the TR4 pathogen.
Available in both English and Spanish, the TR4 website contains a wealth of scientific articles covering various aspects of this pathogen. The TR4 website is organized into four sections covering: i) Scientific publications, ii) a directory of institutions working on TR4, iii) a list of regulations and resources iv) latest events on TR4, and v) an area for researchers to contribute their own research on the topic.
To date, the TR4 database contains 65 publications, each with a link to the journal in which it was published.
The Comunidad Andina encourages plant protection stakeholders to make use of the website and promote the website to relevant academic plant health researchers to strengthen this knowledge bank, its use, and to raise awareness on the TR4 pathogen.
The Comunidad Andina invites you to access the TR4 website and promote it with relevant academia and plant health experts.
