Pest Status (ISPM 8 - 2021)
  • Present: not widely distributed and under official control
Distribución geográfica
The pathogen has been detected in a few non-commercial trees in the Northern Territory and Queensland. It is not widespread, but under conducive conditions it is controlled by normal orchard practices. It has not been detected in native citrus.
Resumen

Extensive survey of citrus suggests that the pathogen may occur at a very low incidence and especially in wetter conditions in non-commercial trees. Affected citrus show circular leaf spots, 3-5 mm in diameter, slightly depressed, pale grey to brown with dark-brown border. Symptoms are seen more on older leaves but not fruit and may cause some defoliation.

Peligro
C. citri occurs on all species of citrus in most of the Pacific Islands. It is a minor leaf spot disease that poses little threat to the citrus industry. The pathogen is not seed borne and fruit are not considered a risk pathway.
