Now available in Spanish: Guide to participating in the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM)

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce the release of the Spanish edition of the "Guide to participating in the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures of the International Plant Protection Convention" — now available as "Guía para participar en la Comisión de Medidas Fitosanitarias de la Convención Internacional de Protección Fitosanitaria".

This comprehensive guide aims to facilitate the active and effective participation of representatives of national plant protection organizations (NPPOs) and any other participants in the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) — the governing body of the IPPC.

Developed for both new and experienced delegates, the guide aims to improve transparency, collaboration and inclusive participation in strengthening global phytosanitary governance by providing easy-to-follow information and practical guidance on:

1. Participation: Who can participate in CPM meetings
2. Preparation: Key steps before the meeting
3. Structure: How the meeting is organized
4. Follow-up: Tracking decisions and outcomes
