Purpose

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat invites National and Regional Plant Protection Organizations, international organizations, research centers, universities and the academia sector to share tools and guidelines to improve national, regional and global capacities for preparedness and response to pest outbreaks. The contributed tools and guidelines will be reviewed and assessed as part of the activities conducted under the Strengthening plant health emergency management capacities project and according to the procedure on contributed resources.

Feedback and acknowledgments will be provided to all respondents.

Instructions for submission

The IPPC Secretariat will receive submissions through email [email protected] with a copy to Sarah Brunel, Acting Lead of the Implementation and Facilitation Unit ([email protected]), Camilo Beltran Montoya, Plant Health Specialist ([email protected]) and Rokhila Madaminova, Program Support Specialist ([email protected]) no later than 2023-01-15. The application should be sent with the email message’s subject line "Pest outbreak response Tool".

Specific requirements for tools and guidelines

There should be proven results of successful implementation of the tool and guideline in practice. The IPPC Secretariat would liaise further with the providers of tools and guidelines to get data on the outcome of implementation of the contributed tool or guideline if necessary.
