The ePhyto Industry Advisory Group IAG) meets in Geneva

30 January 2019, Geneva - The ePhyto Industry Advisory Group (IAG) met for the fourth time at the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland on 30 January 2019. IAG participants included the leaders of international NGOs representing the global grains, seeds, flowers, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, wood products and cotton industries.

The meeting began with an overview of the ePhyto Solution progress, including a demonstration of the Generic National System (GeNS). The group, which included the IPPC ePhyto team, discussed in detail progress made with the industry case studies; and set timeframes and objectives for the future.

They also discussed the ePhyto 5-year strategic plan and future communications objectives to improve the understanding of the system beyond the groups that are directly involved. The IPPC Secretariat ePhyto team looks forward to the continuing collaboration with the IAG, advancing the ePhyto Industry Case studies, and opportunities to promote the benefits of ePhyto.
