Register now: Webinar on IPPC Call for topics

Posted on Mar, 27 May 2025, 12:20

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce an upcoming webinar “Call for topics- Enhancing the quality of new topic proposals for plant health standards and IPPC implementation,” on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, with two sessions at 9:30 to 11:30 CEST and 15:00 to 17:00 CEST.

The webinar aims to strengthen the capacity and cooperation of national and regional plant protection organizations (NPPOs and RPPOs) to submit quality topic proposals for IPPC standards development and implementation. Topics may include new International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs); new components to existing ISPMs, such as supplements or amendments to adopted ISPMs and pests for which a new diagnostic protocol should be developed.

Implementation resources include new guides, e-learning courses, training kits, videos and revisions to existing IPPC implementation resources. Topics also include submission for IPPC Observatory for conducting surveys and studies on key phytosanitary-related issues.

Webinar presenters will explain the IPPC Call for topics process and address any issues that could potentially limit the submission of quality proposals.

The morning session will be conducted in English only, while the afternoon session will be in English, with simultaneous interpretation in French and Spanish.
