15 April 2019, Beijing - The General Administration of Customs , P.R. of China (GACC) carried out a publicity campaign Protecting national biological safety, building a beautiful ecological homeland at the 4th National Security Publicity Day. This has been the 4th consecutive year since 2016 when such a campaign was held. Local customs authorities also organized various bio-safety themed activities including giving lectures and opening the quarantine inspecting labs to the public, which aroused great interest from the general public and attracted numerous visits.
Special exhibitions were held in museums and botanical gardens, where prize-quizzes and performances of quarantine inspecting dogs were given. Citizens took great interest in participating in these activities. Similar publicity activities were held in schools, communities, businesses and scenic spots, which greatly improved the public s bio-safety awareness, and thus built a better atmosphere for the whole society to protect bio-safety in the country.
