New publication: Field survey guidance for Diastocera trifasciata

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce a new publication, Field survey guidance for Diastocera trifasciata (Stem girdler). Developed through the Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP), an IPPC-led initiative, this field survey guidance provides practical guidelines for technical personnel of national plant protection organizations (NPPOs), to monitor, detect and identify the pest.

APP aims to strengthen plant health across Africa by enhancing the capabilities of phytosanitary personnel within NPPOs to use advanced science and modern digital technology for effective and timely pest surveillance, detection, identification, control, and prevention. This protocol is expected to support effective surveillance and phytosanitary decision-making to manage pest risks and protect trade in plants and plant products.
