IPPC Observatory closed survey on E-commerce

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Observatory extends its gratitude to all those who participated in the IPPC Observatory E-Commerce Survey. The survey officially closed on 30 November 2024.

We are pleased to report an outstanding total of 64 responses received, with following rates by region:

• Africa - 24% of member countries;
• Asia – 23%;
• Europe – 42%;
• Latin America and Caribbean – 52%;
• Near east and North Africa – 30%;
• North America – 100%;
• South West Pacific – 23%.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort taken by the numerous respondents to share their experiences and perspectives.

Although the survey is officially closed, the survey links will remain active until the end of December, providing a final opportunity for any countries that still wish to submit their responses.

An IPPC Observatory survey specialist will conduct the analysis and prepare the IPPC Observatory E-commerce Study report. The report will highlight the main findings and recommendations arising from the survey and respect the confidentiality of data. It will be presented at CPM and will feed into the future IPPC work on e-commerce. Stay tuned for updates and findings from the survey.
