New IPPC publication: Field survey guidance for Xylella fastidiosa

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce the release of a new publication: Field survey guidance for Xylella fastidiosa.

This field survey guidance, developed through the IPPC's Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP), offers:

• Clear monitoring protocols
• Practical pest survey guidance
• Step-by-step sampling techniques
• Identification and diagnostic resources

With easy-to-follow steps and strategies developed by phytosanitary experts, it aims to empower technical personnel, particularly in national plant protection organizations (NPPOs) to act swiftly and make the right decisions in preventing and responding to Xylella fastidiosa pest outbreaks, thereby protecting food security, safeguarding trade and preserving the environment.
