John is a Foreign Service Officer for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) International Services (IS) in Rome, Italy. He is seconded to the IPPC Secretariat, where he supports governance, networking and partnerships on technical exchange for phytosanitary measures. John also supports IPPC’s work on strengthening plant protection infrastructures, communication, outreach, advocacy for standard setting and implementation to promote scientifically based phytosanitary measures
